My work is driven by the raw energy of live music and the unscripted chaos of the moment. I don't show up to "direct" your day; I show up to catch it as it actually unfolds. While I use professional graphics and stabilization to make sure your film looks sharp, I refuse to over-edit the life out of your footage. I leave the soul of the shot alone. I don’t hide the grit or the noise because that is where the truth lives. When you watch a Murphy Film, you aren't just seeing a recap; you are seeing the honest, unfiltered reality of the day exactly as it felt.

Let’s be honest: the world doesn't need another "cinematic" highlight reel. We’re already surrounded by perfectly curated, over-edited versions of reality. I don’t believe in "perfect" shots because perfection is usually staged. I believe in real shots—the ones that are a little gritty, a little loud, and 100% authentic.
I don’t want the "pose." I want the "moment." I’m not the videographer who’s going to spend an hour adjusting a light while your event is actually happening. I’m a fly on the wall with a camera, capturing the day exactly as it feels. If there’s a mistake, a laugh that’s too loud, or a tear that messes up the makeup—I’m keeping it in. That’s the stuff that actually matters five years from now.

I’m Nate Murphy, and I’ve been obsessed with video since I was a kid making "dumb" YouTube videos in my backyard. I chose videography over photography for one simple reason: life isn't still. It moves incredibly fast, and while a photo is a great memento, a video lets you actually relive the energy of a moment. Now in my 20s, my goal remains basic: I’m here to capture your memories—nothing more, nothing less.
When you hire Murphy Films, you aren’t getting a corporate agency; you’re getting a solo creator who handles everything from the first email to the final edit. I don’t over-complicate your story with high-end "cinema" tricks or act as a distraction at your event. I’m just there to be a part of the energy, capturing the grit and the truth of the day so you can actually live it. As life keeps moving, my job is to make sure you have a way to look back and feel exactly what it was like to be there.
